Register a Cisco UCS Domain to Cisco UCS Central

Cisco UCS Central Software extends the capabilities and concepts of Cisco UCS Manager across multiple Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) domains in one or more physical locations. Today we will show how to register a Cisco UCS Domain to Cisco UCS Central.

First you login into Cisco UCS Manager, make sure the status of UCS domain is healthy.

Login into Cisco UCS Central.

Input “Register” in the Actions bar and choose “Register Domain to UCS Central” in the menu.

Input the following information for the UCS Domain that will add to UCS Central.

UCS Domain Hostname/IP Address:
UCS Domain User Name:
UCS Domain Password:
Registration Hostname/IP address from UCS Central:

In the Policy Resolution, verify that all parameters are set to Global except Infrastructure & Catalog Firmware and Backup and Export Policies, and click Register.

Monitor the registration status, until the registration is complete. When you see the stats displays “OK“, the UCS domain registration is completed.
