In this post, we will walk through the process of getting started with Zerto 9.7 and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Preparation:
- Deployed Zerto Cloud Appliance 9.7 in AWS.
- Deployed Zerto Virtual Manager 9.7 in Production Site.
- Required Zerto Software Enterprise Cloud Licenses.
Now we login into on-premises Zerto Virtual Manager (ZVM).
Go to Sites, click on the Generate Pairing Token button. Click the blue Copy button to copy the token.
Then login into Zerto Cloud Appliance.
Input the IP address of on-premises vSphere site we’re pairing to and paste in the token you copied from the ZCA, click Pair.
Go to Sites, once the sites are paired, you will see a green status,
Now we will create a VPG, go to VPGs. Select “Remote RD and Continuous Backup” on VPG type menu. Specific the VPG name, click Next.
Select the protected VM, click Next.
Select the AWS site in the Recovery Site menu and SLA settings under the Replication tab, click Next.
Keep the defaults in the Storage tab. Click Next.
Setup the recovery settings, click Next.
Configure network settings, e.g. Failover and Test IP network. Click Next.
On Summary, click Done to begin VPG creation.
Once the VPG created, you can see the green status.
