VMware vRealize True Visibility Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server

The VMware vRealize True Visibility Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server is an
embedded adapter for vRealize Operations (vROps), collecting performance data from your
Microsoft SQL Server environment and providing predictive analytics and real-time information
about problems in your infrastructure.

Now I will show how to install VMware vRealize True Visibility Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server into VMware Aria Operations.

Requirements

Download VMware vRealize True Visibility Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server

VMware vRealize Operations License

VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server License

Configuration

Login into VMware Aria Operations with admin.

Click “Add Cloud Account“.

Choose vCenter.

Specify the Account Name, the vCenter Server info and its credential. Click Add.

Accept the vCenter Server’s certificate.

Click OK.

Then the vCenter Server starts the data collection.

Now you can install the Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server. Go to Integrations under Data Sources.

Browser to upload the management pack for Microsoft SQL Server, then click Upload.

Click Next.

Accept the agreement, click Next.

Click Finish when the installation is completed.

Click “Add Account” on VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for Microsoft SQL Server.

Specify the Account Name, the SQL Server info and its credential. Click Add.

Now the SQL Server starts the data collection.

If want to monitor the status of Microsoft SQL Server, please go to the Dashboards under Visualize.

For troubleshooting, you can go to Workbench under Troubleshoot.
