In above case of VNX systems, the SP (Storage Processor) paths to primary access SP are active until failure occurs. The secondary paths (blue dashed line) are configured in a stand-by mode. This configuration will ensure that any failure will not impact client connectivity or bandwidth. It also enables the segmentation of iSCSI clients to the different network address segments, and ensures the failover to a secondary path in the event of any network connectivity failure.
